A Room of Your Own: Transform your creative writing daydreams into roadmaps: Every writer needs space and time to write, but how do we create that quiet space where imagination can flourish? Using a series of visualization exercises, Charis Cotter will show you how to harness your imagination to shape your future as a successful writer. Writing and drawing exercises will help you re-imagine and re-focus your writing life and create a step-by-step timeline. Whether you need to re-imagine your current writing space or create a new one, this workshop will help you find focus and discipline in your writing life. For this webinar (and for the recording), you will need to have writing and drawing materials at hand.
Charis Cotter is an award-winning children’s author who lives at the end of a road by the ocean in Newfoundland, where the landscape and a plentiful supply of ghosts inspire her work. Her spooky, suspenseful novels for ages 9 to 95—The Swallow: A Ghost Story, The Painting and The Ghost Road—have won awards and accolades from enthusiastic readers. Charis has toured her writing and visualization workshops and her ghost story presentations for children and grownups across Canada and to Seaside, Florida.
