ZOOM LINK: On the day of the meeting, CANSCAIP will sends the Zoom link to everyone who has registered.
FORMAT: Meetings are via Zoom, on the second Wednesday of each month, and attended by Members and Friends across Canada. The meetings open with remarks by president Sharon Jennings, followed by announcements by Members and Friends, and then presentations by the meeting speakers. During the meeting, attendees can type questions into Chat, which will be read aloud by the meeting coordinator. Everyone is encouraged to linger after the meeting--we'll have breakout rooms where we can talk to each other in smaller groups.

MEETING TOPIC & SPEAKERS: Two book industry leaders discuss important sources of payments for which book creators are eligible to apply: Public Lending Right (PLR), Payback for Writers, and Payback for Visual Artists. John Degen is the executive director of The Writers' Union of Canada, chair of the International Authors Forum, co-chair of the Canadian Creators Coalition, and a published poet and novelist. Roanie Levy is president and CEO of Access Copyright, an intellectual property lawyer, and an internationally recognized champion of creator rights.
