CANSCAIP hosts regular meetings across Canada. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a meeting before joining CANSCAIP as a Member or Associate/Friend.

Our monthly meetings are on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm.

Join us on Wednesday, September 10 at 7:00 pm for our monthly meeting (we're back at the TPL Northern District Branch).

PRESENTATION: Writing and Publishing Books that Matter

SPEAKER: Sheila Barry, Publisher at Groundwood Books

Join Sheila Barry as she talks about Groundwood's publishing focus, and how she chooses what to publish and what to turn down. She’ll also share suggestions for writers based on her belief that we have an obligation to write and publish books about difficult topics for children, but that there are more and less successful ways to do that.

MEETING LOCATION: NOTE that our monthly meetings are back at our previous location: Toronto Public Library Northern District Branch, 40 Orchard View Blvd(1 block north of Eglinton, west side of Yonge).  Our September meeting is in Room 200 (2nd floor).

REFRESHMENTS: Coffee and cookies will be served at the meeting. Thanks to Starbucks at 2300 Yonge for giving us coffee!

DINNER: If you would like to attend dinner with the speaker at 5:30 pm, please email Cathy Rondina by September 9. Dinner will be at the Duke of Kent, 2315 Yonge Street (1 block north of Eglinton, east side of Yonge).

CHEERS WITH PEERS: Continue the great conversations after the meeting back at the Duke of Kent

TRANSIT: TPL Northern District Branch is 1 block north of the Eglinton subway stop on the Yonge line.
