The Envelope Please...
It's award season and CANSCAIP would like to invite you to be the judge. Get an insiders look at how books are chosen for awards - from the selection of judges, to the process of picking a winner.
Ken Setterington, who has served on selection committees for the Newbery, Caldecott, Sibert, TD, and numerous other book prizes, will host an intriguing talk based on his experiences as a judge and an award winner.
Ken has just received the Stonewall honour from the ALA, amongst many other awards over his impressive career in children's publishing. He will be discussing the criteria of the various awards and answering that frequently asked question, "Does the cover matter?"
Hope to see you there!
