NOTE: Many people make announcements, so please keep it to 2 minutes or less. At an average talking speed, 2 minutes is the time it takes for 260 words . 

SPEAKERS AND TOPIC:  Join Ben Philippe (Sure I’ll Be Your Black Friend: Notes from the Other Side of the Fist Bump), Nhung N. Tran-Davies (The Doll) and Eric Walters (The King of Jam Sandwiches), in a discussion about what makes an effective memoir for young readers (and what doesn’t). Moderated by CANSCAIP president Sharon Jennings (Unravel), this promises to be a memorable meeting.

MEETING FORMAT:  Meetings open with remarks by President Sharon Jennings, followed by announcements by Members and Friends and then the meeting speakers.  Everyone is encouraged to linger for 15 minutes after the meeting in breakout rooms to talk to each other in smaller groups.
