LOCATION: Toronto Public Library Northern District Branch, 40 Orchard View Blvd. (1 block N of Eglinton, W off Yonge), Room 200 (2nd floor).

TOPIC: Illustrator Night

Qin Leng is an author and illustrator known for her work in children's books. She graduated from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema and has received many awards for her animated short films and artwork.Throughout her career, Qin has illustrated picture books, magazines and book covers with publishers around the world. Hana Hashimoto, Sixth Violin, written by Chieri Uegaki, was a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award, and received the APALA Award for best picture book.

TRANSIT & PARKING: From Eglinton station on the Yonge subway line, walk 1 block N on Yonge to Orchard View. The closest parking is Yonge-Eglinton Centre's (expensive) underground lot with an entrance on Orchard View. There are Green P parking lots on Erskine, Castlefield and Sherwood.
