CANSCAIP MARCH 2017 MEETING
DATE: Wed. Mar. 8 at 7:00 pm
SPEAKER: Sarah Ramsey (Book City Bookstores) on book covers
We've been told never to judge a book by its cover, but the visual appeal of a cover is hard to ignore. With more and more (even young) readers curating their libraries, it's important to design a stunning cover. With her extensive experience as a bookseller, Sarah Ramsey offers thought-provoking insights about what readers of books for children are looking for.
A life-long book lover, Sarah Ramsey has worked in bookselling for 16 years. She is the manager of the Bloor West Village (Toronto) Book City, and the community manager (organizes events and manages social media) for all the Book City stores. When she's not reading, she's watching baseball or baking.
