Bio
Born and raised in the prairies, Kristine Scarrow has a special interest in writing as a healing art and offers workshops to individuals, schools, community based organizations and other groups. She was the first writer-in-residence at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon for a five-year period. Kristine is the author of four young adult novels: Throwaway Girl, If This Is Home, The 11th Hour and The Gamer's Guide to Getting the Girl, all published by Dundurn Press. She has an MFA in Writing from the University of Saskatchewan; her poetry, short stories, and creative non-fiction have appeared in several publications. She served as the Saskatoon Public Library's Writer-in-Residence for 2022-2023. As a busy mother of three children, she is thrilled to be fulfilling her lifelong dreams of writing and encourages and celebrates others who are following their dreams.
