Bio
Marie Prins obtained a BA in English Literature, an ECE diploma, and an Ontario Teaching Certificate. Decades ago, she co-managed the Toronto Women’s bookstore and started Parentbooks with a close friend. Now she tutors remedial reading in her private practice the Reading Room and writes children's books, memoir, and poetry. She lives with her artist husband in an historic, octagonal home in Colborne, Ontario. Red Deer Press published her debut picture book WHO'S WALKING DAWG? IN 2024. Her MG novel THE GIRL FROM THE ATTIC was published by Common Deer Press, 2020. Two recent children's stories were published in HILL SPIRITS V & VI Anthologies from Blue Denim Press. Her memoir writing can be found in HILL SPIRITS II, III, IV ANTHOLOGIES.
