Bio
Pat Trottier, M.Ed., has been actively involved in education in Winnipeg, Manitoba, for more than forty years. Pat has worked with students in early, middle, and senior years as a teacher, resource specialist and administrator. She was a Supervisor for year 3 and 4 student teachers at the University of Winnipeg. Her extensive support of students in and outside the classroom includes leading volunteer programs, preparing students for the work force, student council leadership, and helping parents with issues around child development and study skills. She recognizes the important role of physical activity and has coordinated a girls hockey team and Irish dancing classes. Committed to the professional development of teachers, Pat developed a writing curriculum with early years teachers and an award-winning video, “To Do The Same Thing.”

Looking to publish new middle grades novel called “Mighty Eps” about a grade 8 student suddenly stricken with epilepsy. How will his friends ever talk to him again? The novel shows Jordan’s struggles with epilepsy and how his community comes together to support him. Does Jordan learn how to accept himself again?
