4x Juno nominated Ginalina writes children's books recommended by Canadian Geographic Magazine and Kirkus Reviews. Her stories are themed on nature, early ecosystem observations, environmental stewardship, Asian Heritage roots and celebrations, and more. Her folk, family folk, and East-West fusion folk has received over 20 awards including a 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award, two Western Canadian Music Awards, and honours from the Canadian Children's Book Centre.
The Mighty River, The Lively Forest, and The Blooming Mountain introduce early readers to flora and fauna of rivers, forests, and mountains, intergenerational relationships, and our connections with each other and nature. These books are supported by music videos, songs, and additional activities and resources.
She is also the author or a two-part Asian Heritage celebration series focused on family love and special traditions. A new book in three languages (English, French, and Mandarin/PinYin) is also in production and will be shared with young readers in early 2026.
