Bio
Lisa writes poetry and picture books for children. Her picture book, "Skink on the Brink," illustrated by Suzanne Del Rizzo, won the 2014 SCBWI Crystal Kite Award for Canada. It has also been nominated as a finalist in the Rainforest of Reading (Grenada, St. Lucia, Montserrat) and was the winner of The Writers' Union of Canada's 2011 Writing for Children Competition. Lisa's other titles include "A Moose Goes a-Mummering," "If It’s No Trouble... A Big Polar Bear" and "Bubbly Troubly Polar Bear" (Tuckamore Books.)

Outside of writing, Lisa’s primary love is travelling. She has lived in England, South Korea, Thailand and Scotland and has travelled throughout Europe and Asia. She now lives with her husband and their three children in Fergus, Ontario.
