Deborah Kerbel is a Canadian children's author of four Young Adult novels including Under the Moon (a Finalist for the 2012 Governor General’s Literary Awards), Lure (a Finalist for the 2011 Manitoba Young Reader’s Choice Award), and Girl on the Other Side (a Finalist for the 2010 Canadian Library Association’s YA Book of the Year Award). She's also the author of two Middle-Grade novels (Bye-Bye, Evil Eye and Feathered — the latter newly released with Kids Can Press) and a picture book (forthcoming in 2017 with Pajama Press). Her essay on school bullying, The Curtain, is included in the YA anthology, Dear Bully: Seventy Authors Tell Their Stories (HarperCollins, 2011).
In 1993, she graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a degree in English Literature. Born in London, England, Deborah currently resides in Thornhill, Ontario with her husband two children, and pet schnoodle.
