Bio
Pam Withers is an award-winning author of more than 20 bestselling young-adult adventure novels for teens. She is also co-author of Jump-Starting Boys, about getting boys to read, and founder of www.YAdudebooks.ca. A former outdoor guide and journalist, Pam lives in Vancouver, Canada when not touring North America to speak in schools, libraries and at conferences. She is married with one son.

School Visits
School talks (one hour for grades four and up, and particularly popular with boys) focus on humorous anecdotes of how she researches her material. They also include extreme-sports DVD clips, short readings, tales of her own adventures, the patience & persistence it takes to achieve success, special encouragement to boys, the importance of rewriting & accepting criticism, tips on writing & getting published.
